Who is LaCicely Nicole?

I am a native of Detroit, Michigan.  In 2007, I relocated to Atlanta, Georgia where I owned several salon establishments, made a name for myself and grew as a person and entrepreneur.   I serviced many high profile clientele and celebrities, some who came to my salon and requested me personally. My work has graced the covers of magazines, walked the stages of hair shows and so much more.  However, my proudest moments have come from the quieter side, servicing my community by providing services to less fortunate children and everyday clients around my neighborhood and from area churches.  Though I have received many awards and recognition for my good deeds, those special moments and relationships will forever be in my heart and many of those relationships I carry with me today.

In 2015, I relocated to Florida as I started seeing a shift in our economy and the beauty industry.  Just before the pandemic, I started to transition out of the beauty industry as a Cosmetologist/Barber and re-entered into college to complete a degree in Interior Design that I had started more than a decade prior.  I would complete the degree in May, 2021 and close my last salon in 2023.  When my last child graduated high school,  I then relocated to beautiful downtown Tampa, hoping to find my permanent residence in the beautiful sunshine state.  Tampa and its people have been great and have welcomed me with open arms.  I have since gone on to also attain my bartending license, tax preparer credentials, and other accolades to certify myself in areas that I had already had experience, while finding my new place in life.

To add, I am a graphic designer, speaker, business strategist/coach.  I am also writing a biography and travel every chance I get.

I am the proud Mom of two young adults, and grand mom to one. I spend my spare time fine dining, , riding bike, theatre, cruising, enjoying life's smallest pleasures while also dancing in the rain....

Over the years, I have been awarded for my volunteering and donations to my local community and schools.  It is my pleasure to give back because I had help along my journey as well. 

I am an award-winning Cosmetologist, who once taught and competed on stage at various hair shows across the Southern United States.  My talents have allowed me the opportunity to mentor other up and coming Cosmetologists into their highest potential, which is undoubtedly some of my proudest moments. 

I have graced the covers of a few magazines, and my work has been featured in and on the covers of many magazines  Since arriving to Tampa, I have had 3 articles in Bold Journey, Voyage Tampa and others.  Its an honor and a privilege.  I appreciate every opportunity as it gives me another opportunity to tell my story and bring inspiration to another person is my hope. 

I am very passionate about what I do.  I enjoy everything I have my hands in.  In summary, my skills represent various forms of art and the results make my clients feel good. The look in their eyes when the final result of my beauty services, interior design services or in some cases, how lovely I present to them an alcoholic beverage that they so desperately needed........ their satisfaction and light in their eyes is all that I desire.  I will forever lend myself to people in need, be an inspiration and help as well as an ear for those who need it. Leaving a foundation for my future generation and a legacy for others to be inspired, will fulfill me.
